It was a friend using their roommate's phone and they were reporting that these roommates had passed out because of how they found this horrible scene.
So that's pretty much how the 911 call happened and it totally makes sense that this is why it was reported in the way that it was.
So that is a quick summary of what has happened so far.
They were murdered in the early morning hours of November 13th
And for the following six weeks, police didn't release a ton of information.
And for a while, the families and the public were starting to get very, very frustrated.
But police wanted to assure the community that they were doing everything in their power to bring the person responsible to justice.
They said that they combed through over 19,000 tips and interviewed over 300 people during the course of their investigation.
But now we have a possible answer as to who committed this atrocious crime that left the entire community shaken.
As of December 30th of 2022, Moscow police have arrested a suspect who they believe was responsible for the quadruple murder.
This man is 28-year-old Brian Christopher Kohlberger.
Brian Kohlberger is a graduate student at Washington State University.
He lived in his own apartment in Pullman, Washington, which is located about nine miles or a 15-minute drive away from Moscow, Idaho.
Literally right across the border.
Articles reported that Brian had just finished his first semester of his doctoral degree at WSU's Criminal Justice and Criminology Department.
He also worked as a TA for the program.
Before starting his PhD, he attended Northampton Community College in Pennsylvania, graduating in 2018 with his associate's degree in psychology.
Then he got his bachelor's degree from DeSales University in Pennsylvania, which is a Catholic college in 2020.
Then he completed his master's degree in June of 2022.
After that, he moved to Washington and started his PhD program just months before the murders.
