They confirmed via surveillance video that by 7.41 a.m., Sarah drove her black SUV to her daughter's school to drop her off.
By 8 a.m., an employee with Spring Valley Utility Service confirmed that a woman stopped by to pay her utility bill in cash.
She couldn't confirm whether the woman was actually Sarah because she and Samantha are twins and they look similar enough, though the amount was applied to Sarah's account.
The thought here is that obviously Samantha probably wouldn't go to the utilities office and put money towards Sarah's account.
It probably was Sarah putting money towards her own account.
However, the office is also located about 20 minutes south of Stordsville and more than 30 minutes south of Rochester.
It is very unlikely that if Samantha left work at 7.50 a.m.
that she would have been able to make it to Spring Valley by 8 a.m.
in 10 minutes when it's located 30 minutes away.
Then by around 8.30 a.m., her same black SUV is then seen traveling north on County Road 1.
Again, the same black SUV that Sarah was seen driving earlier that morning was later seen traveling north on County Road 1 a half hour later.
Again, we know that the crash happened in the southbound lane.
That morning, Sarah was in Spring Valley, which is south of Stewartville.
We already know that she had to have been driving north to even get to the scene.
But beyond that, we know that the 911 call came in at 826 a.m.
Sarah was seen driving that black SUV at 8 30 a.m.
All the while we know that Samantha was headed south from Rochester.
The time that the crash took place is right around the time that it would have taken for her to be in that area if she drove there straight from work.
So based on this, who is more likely to have been responsible for the crash?
From there, officers then got a warrant to search Samantha's home, cell phone, as well as get a blood and urine sample from her.
