Where Jim Rutherford announced that he's going to be taking a step away from day-to-day operations.
I thought at the end of season presser when he hinted at it, you know, Rutherford, when he mentions something, there's usually something behind it and he's just not throwing it out there.
So that wasn't the surprise.
The timing was a bit of a surprise.
I thought maybe you wait till the draft.
Maybe you make that announcement then and there.
I think with Rutherford, the type of individual he is, he's a very hands-on individual.
So there does have to be a bit of a clean break in the sense that you're saying, I'm there if you need me.
