Well, I did my apprenticeship when I was 18.
Yeah.
But then I went 10 years.
I was fitting boilers every single day and I got absolutely sick to death of fitting boilers.
So I was looking for a change, so I went to work for the NHS.
Later that night, I met Rob for the first time.
Sat in his white van as rain hammered on the windscreen, I asked what he wanted people in Makerfield to know about him.
But I'll work hard.
I'm passionate about improving the place.
I know what it's like to struggle.
I know what it's like to not have any money and you're struggling to pay the bills.
And shopping is going through the roof, you know, the price of shopping.
Paying the bills is expensive.
Diesel, petrol is expensive.
I'm one of you, and I'm living the same life as you, so I can relate to everybody in the area.
Tell us why you decided to stand.
What was the thing that tipped you over the end?
This time we've got a real chance of winning, and if we can win, we can make a difference.
You know, if you're the MP, you might be able to get apprenticeships in the area or bring businesses to the area or...
Speak to central government and try and get a bit more funding in the area.
