We might not know exactly what's going to happen at the start of free agency, but the Steelers will obviously have a pretty good idea.
You know, my main takeaway from that Rogers quote unquote interview was what he said about the contract, because my understanding was it was going to be like it was last year.

That'll be hammered out within days.
Now it seems like Aaron wants to have a contract so he could decide if he's going to play or not.
So that's a big difference to me.
I don't know exactly what it means.
I will tell you, listen, he played for $14 million last year.
I mean, I would imagine he's not going to want to break the bank again.
If he won $17 million, $18 million, they would probably be willing to pay that.
So I don't really know what the holdup is.
This just could be Aaron and his agent trying to make a little bit more money, more than what they did last year.

That was their stance the day after the season, and I think that's continued to be their stance throughout the offseason.
So, hey, listen, things can change.
If Aaron doesn't want to play, they'll obviously have to go with plan B. But, yes, Aaron was always, all along, their number one choice if he wanted to play football in 2026.
