You could argue they probably should have won that game, but the Texas defense was really, really good, and that's why they lost that game.
Yeah, I don't think it's a smokescreen.
I think even the previous staff, and there are still some remnants of that previous staff who were going to be on McCarthy's staff.
So, you know, I think Arthur Smith liked them.
You know, it's obvious that Art came out and said that.
So the front office, the scouting staff liked them.
Now McCarthy likes him.
I don't know what a smokescreen would serve at this point.
They're not trying to hide anything that they're going to do.
They're still in the market for a quarterback this spring or next spring.
That's not going to change unless Will Howard goes out there and wins a Super Bowl for them.
