And then you're at Stanford few months to a year before pandemic hits.
What was the initial goal of the work and how abruptly did that goal change when the pandemic started?
How aware do you think the average social media user is of this adversarial abuse?
Have you been able to gather any tips that you could give to an individual who's trying to be mindful without becoming a cynic?
Are the platforms themselves aware of this issue?
Yes.
And what are they doing to combat that if anything?
Cause I remember there was conversations about Elon Musk saying we need to get rid of all these fake accounts off Twitter and that didn't seem to really go anywhere.
Which happens frequently in the health space where I remember there was deaths from people over consuming ivermectin.
And YouTube tried to autocorrect as quickly as possible by demoting or blocking information surrounding ivermectin.
It hurt legitimate medical providers who were putting accurate information saying the word ivermectin.
Yeah.
Do you think it's inevitable that we're going to get to a place where your blue check mark is basically you setting in your ID and proving you're a real person?
Which I'm sure people will start selling at some point.

And they do verify that I have an active medical license, that I'm a board-certified physician.
