Yeah, it's a scary place to be because for the average person that's spending time online, how does one distinguish just truth?
They actually had a stance that they did not talk about anti-vaccine misinformation.
No, it's very messy because what ends up happening is
In every topic, whether scientific or otherwise, sometimes even pop culture wise, you're having point and counterpoint and the weight between them is shaped by public opinion and or success on social media.
How's that going?
Two steps forward, one step back.
Still a good strategy.
It's hard.
It's not natural.
It goes against a lot of what we're taught in academic circles.
Also, when we think about research and we think about understanding, we come from a place of humility.
I think that's how you have to approach learning, that there's so much you don't know.
You're hungry for more.
You constantly want to ask better questions instead of saying you have all the knowledge.
But on social media, you kind of have to do the opposite.
Without making sure all my bases are covered and someone doesn't know the caveats are there.
