So her job is to monitor him.

And she doesn't have to do it in real time.

She can speed things up.

But, yeah, she gets to know him very well over the course of doing this job.

Well, this one is a very unusual one.

She only meets people at first in passing because it's the kind of job that you don't have a lot of contact with other people.

She tends to meet people in the lunchroom.

One of the things that comes up is how important food is in this novel.

It's in every single story.

There's a lot of talking about food.

And indeed, in this first job, there's a lot about what the surveillance subject is eating because he eats a lot.

She gets frustrated with him because he's a very frustrating person.

He's endlessly distractible.

He goes off on tangents.

He's looking to distract himself.

She basically does not see how he's making a living because his output is so little.

Yeah, it was the one relatable experience that I had.

So this is, again, another odd job and I have never heard of this.

So there's this bus that does this route.

It's a circle.
