I was aware that you shouldn't have long hair because you could get thrown into jail for long hair.

So I'm on this bus coming back.

I'm totally off my face on heroin and I'm on this bus.

I'm the only white person on this bus and we get stopped going back to Bangkok and all these police with guns get on and I thought with a smile on my face because I'm off my tree, oh, I'm done.

They're going to open my backpack wrapped up in newspaper, two bricks of Thai Buddha sticks right at the top.

No, I didn't try to hide it.

And they got on the bus and pulled all these people off.

I'm sitting there and some people get back.

And someone told me they were looking for guns because the Vietnam War was on.

So there was a whole lot of gun smuggling going on.

They never touched me.

I mean, how does that happen?

Because that was going to be my next port of call.

I forgot that they've got their own drugs there because I needed some more money because the whole plan was to end up going through Afghanistan.

I wanted more money and I was going to try and buy some drugs to smuggle into England.

That was my whole trip.

So I got a talcum powder can and I got rid of all the talcum powder and I put some talcum powder in and then put the sticks in plastic stuff, packed them back in and then put in the talcum powder.

And for whatever reason, it worked.

I mean, I didn't get stopped at any of the borders.

But when I got to Kathmandu and I took it out, it absolutely reeked of talcum powder.
