So maybe this is a product of him just trying to get back on time for the fastball and try to get something to where this swing just feels back to normal.
I was going back through and comparing his swings at the end of last season.
So at the end of October, again, pretty good swing.
Exactly.
And so I'm thinking, you know, we're going to go back to like some of the best swings that we saw.
And it it was a difference in where his hands were.
I kind of like to look at people's swings in different phases.
And so what I was looking at and comparing was when his front heel hits the ground on his step.
So he's already gone through his entire rhythm, his motion with his hands, because you can do whatever you want to before that pitch is is in the air.
But where his hands when that front heel hits the ground, the weight starts to transfer.
right before you start to get that explosion back towards the pitcher, and his hands were probably, I want to say, like four inches or so higher this year than they were in those swings last year.
Now, I know some of that's going to depend on who you're facing, what pitch you're going to go after.
Like, I get that.
But it was a very sharp, you know, downward angle to the baseball, whereas last year,
Barrell's getting on plane.
It's almost like his knob was getting turned towards the pitcher very quickly to where your barrel, again, is just hanging in the zone for a long time.
And even on pitches that were inside, he was still keeping his hands inside of the baseball.
So long way of saying I feel like we're seeing him try new things to try to get things going.
Now, there was one pitch yesterday in the strikeout that he had.
I want to say it was a cutter that kind of missed pretty much right down the middle.
