Well, there are different ways to do it.
Yes, you can β somebody can tip a pitch, and you can know what's coming.
But one thing that I used to do when I was batting β
is to change my timing to where I was only on time for whatever speed I was looking for.
So now it's going to be different for every single batter.
But when you're taking some of those pitches, like to your point, when you're taking that four-seam fastball, if I'm not on time for it, I'm not even ready to get my barrel off of my shoulder, then yes, it makes that take easy.
