I went to a private Catholic school where I was on a scholarship, and if you were on a scholarship, you had to at least be hot and funny and cool.

So I was just like, then I guess this is my thing.

I was also in a band, and I was in a band of all boys, and they thought it was like, oh, that's hot.

And I was just like, I'll do anything to maintain the approval.

I would have these also monumentous fights with my female friends, and whenever my friends and I would break up, I would be devastated.

I wouldn't leave my house.

stay home from school because you were going through a breakup I was going through a breakup yeah without knowing it and and like my girlfriends and I were like you know teaching each other how to do like sexual things on each other you know yeah totally I think it's a pretty canon experience yeah I transferred schools to a public high school for my senior year and it was a little more accepting it wasn't a catholic school so there wasn't as much of a like oh my god you know

A lot of us were gay and I was in choir and I was in theater and so it was just kind of like fun.

I went to prom with a girl.

This is the craziest story.

I went to prom with a girl who now I think identifies as non-binary, but they spent the night at my house and the next morning they made waffles or pancakes or something for my family.
