You think Apple, Google, Tesla, their executives would live and have kids in schools, et cetera, if it weren't safe? Of course it's safe. You can be in my politics for Medicare for all. I would lose my seat next election if I was for deep on the police or not supporting law enforcement. So Harris, I think, will have a public safety focus.

She will have a focus on building more in California, kind of some of the Ezra Klein stuff. She'll be part of this tradition like Matt Mahan and Dan Lurie, mayors of San Jose and San Francisco, to help understand that the state's just not been that well governed over the last some years.

It is. I mean, I'm not going to defend every policy. We've had bad housing policy. I think if you ask Gavin Newsom, he would say the same thing, that the housing policy has been a mistake, that public safety, we've gone too extreme. I mean, we had this law where we weren't going to prosecute people if they broke into Walgreens and took under $950. Is that on the governor?

Yeah, I'm not making it... I think it's the whole California party that we've got to just... Some of it is the legislature. Some of it is, you know, that maybe it was... That Governor couldn't get his initiatives through because he's been talking about some of this. But the point is, I think Harris...

is with her stature, with her experience in Sacramento, which is important in California, with her being sort of part of the democratic apparatus of California, I think she could actually make a difference on it. And she'd be kind of liberated. She wouldn't be running for president from day one. And so she would be able to do what she really believes. And by the way, being the first

African-American woman governor and that too of an incredible state is a pretty historic thing. I mean, it's not an insignificant achievement. So I don't know what she's going to do. I do know she's been making a lot of appearances in California. It seems interesting that she chose to speak at Emerge, which is a typical California entity to make her major speech.
