I've yet to see a goal that Ingram has let in that you're like, ooh, that one he should have had.
He just gives them consistent goaltending.
Now, the Oilers are playing consistent in front of him.
So that combination of better defensive hockey and a goaltender that has been rock solid gives the Oilers, to me, a very confident group going into the playoffs, knowing their goaltenders are going to be there for them.
No.
Well, this is different players than when we played.
I missed 14 games.
It would take me three months to get back on the field.
I mean, Kucherov a couple years ago missed the whole regular season and then led the playoffs in scoring.
So I've watched Leon in the practices skating.
He looks like he's in mid-season form.
So I don't think there's any worry about Leon and where he will be with his game.
The one thing that...
With Leon coming back and Connor and Bouchard, the one thing that the Oilers that you love about their star players who have incredible regular seasons, and again, McDavid had another big one this year, and Bouchard, they get better in the playoffs.
And that is just something that sets the Oilers star players different than a lot of like they not only do they maintain how good they were in the regular season, they're better.
And I think that's one of the reasons it's hard to bet against the Oilers at any time, no matter what the regular season looks like.
When Connor McDavid and Leon Drysaddle and Bouchard get into the playoffs, they're better.
And to me, the path is not as hard to get to the third round as it has been in the past.
And I think this is a confident group that feels, I mean, this is Stanley Cup or bust.
They won't say it because they said it a couple of years ago.
