A significant winter storm looks to impact parts of the northeast for the late part of the weekend into early next week.
Blizzard warnings up for the Jersey Shore, New York City, Long Island, and coastal Connecticut.
Elsewhere, we're going to see winter storm warnings, though we may see some blizzard warnings go up for Cape Cod, the islands, as well as southeastern Massachusetts.
Some areas in southern New England may see over 18 inches of snow, and we could see up to 18 inches of snow across parts of Long Island by the time the storm is winding down.

And you can see the really cold stuff from the Dakotas into the northeast.
We're generally looking at temperatures today that are going to be running anywhere from 10 to as much as 25 degrees below normal.
Numerous states now under either cold weather advisories or extreme cold weather warnings.
That's going to be the big story this week as the storm has, for the most part, ceased to produce any very heavy precipitation.
So those areas that had significant icing not going to thaw out today, not going to thaw out tomorrow.
It looks like their temperatures stay below normal right through Friday.
