So they, they did a really good job of just kind of not expanding all that often against him and, and not, you know, doing the, the,

Or, you know, not kind of succumbing to the type of pitcher that he is.

And, you know, really kind of sticking to that approach throughout the game.

Yeah, yeah, super cool for a guy like him to find his way to the major leagues, especially, you know, after going through the Tommy John and kind of his longer path to the majors as a college draft pick in 2021.

You know, I think kind of looking at him coming up, he struggled to throw strikes early.

And in 2023, he kind of has that breakout that you mentioned where he refines his command a little bit, kind of gets that extra swing and miss.

You know, I think last night we kind of saw that he just was kind of the pitcher that he has been for the last few years here, where, you know, he comes back throwing a little bit harder after TJ this year, and he has these breaking pitches that he can throw for strikes or he can throw it for chase.

You know, even last night, I think the sweeper was in the zone a bunch, and, you know, he gets some chase with the curveball, you know, lands a few of them for called strikes against a really tough Braves offense.

So, you know, I think kind of looking at him and his performance

career coming up in the minor leagues i think there was this level of pitch ability and this level of kind of swagger and this level of confidence that he's always had going out there maybe without you know top shelf stuff um so for him to to be able to go out there and kind of just stick to who he was despite it being his major league debut in a huge spot obviously he has all the family there

You know, so some great quotes from him after the game as well, where, you know, of course, he's talking about his father passing away from ALS and, you know, finding out that he's going to get the call and be able to make his major league debut on on the day.

Really, really cool story from that perspective.

And for him to go out there and, you know, kind of stick to who he is and seemingly not, you know, crumble or kind of face that that extra pressure that comes with making an MLB debut, I think was really impressive.

fitting in kind of short term here and then more long term how does a guy like dallas profile yeah it's really interesting you know i was kind of interested to see like how he was going to handle lefties right obviously he's kind of got all these pitches that that move away from righties and his his splits in in triple a this year have been fairly neutral you know he hasn't given up um a ton more damage to lefties than he has righties and then obviously it has fared fairly well against both handedness so

Was pretty impressed again by the way that he came out.

He was pretty cutter heavy to those lefties.

I even think that his first inning in the game last night, obviously he comes in with the runner on third and one out and is able to escape that without giving up the run.

He comes in and goes sweeper heavy Dawson Riley and then

Kind of seems like an intentional, intentional walk, maybe.

Or, you know, maybe the nerves get to him a little bit against Mike Kostramski there.
