team that's winning a lot does can drive the the market i think um the advantage baseball has a very random sport um and you know the chances of stringing that many together i think are are fairly limited but i do get concerned you know we we try to listen to our fans
And we do hear from fans in a lot of markets that, you know, gee whiz, when we look at the resources they have compared to the resources that are available in our market, we don't feel like it's quite a fair shake.
And that's an issue we're going to have to deal with.
Yeah, I want to quibble with one word.
I mean, I think unable is really a better word.
But having said that, I worry more about the latter.
And I worry more about the latter because I think when you have 162-game season, you have to think all the time and listen to your fans when they're saying, we don't feel like we have a chance to compete.
Because when people feel like they don't have a chance to compete, they check out on you.

The question of incentivization is a really important one.
You know, I think probably the, you know, three other sports have dealt with it by having a rule.
You got to spend, you know, everybody talks about the cap piece.
The cap piece comes with another piece that, you know, where you have to spend.

But mandating a certain level of commitment in terms of spending in the right kind of economic system can be a good thing.

Look, I do think there has been a rush to negativity by a lot of the media that covers us.
