I think there is, yeah.
Drag to me is female impersonation and it's a beautiful art form and I love it.
Like I watch RuPaul's Drag Race and I think it's fantastic what they do and it would be kind of nightclub entertainment and that kind of
form, I suppose, whereas Panto Dame is more family entertainment and she's kind of a mother figure.
And there's a warmth maybe to Panto Dame where it wouldn't be as quite as bold as maybe a drag queen, you know.
Exactly.
Exactly, yeah.
More Mrs. Brown than Panty Bliss.
That's a great way of putting it there now, Clare.
Putting it on my grade stone.
Never appealed.
No, I just like the work.
I like to go into the panto, do the work and go home.
But I'm also happy when panto ends in February, I get to chill and do other work.
And for me, it's theatre.
So for me, drag and theatre are two different things.
Do you know what I mean?
So for me, Panto Dame is more so becoming Buffy, that kind of big character, over the top, family warmth.
She's often a mother figure, whereas the drag queens, and I love them all in the George, you know, they're brilliant.
