Because it was difficult to be yourself?
It was really difficult to be yourself or to be anything in those kind of sports heavy all boys school and it was just really tough and on Friday nights I didn't have to be somebody else I could be me and do dance and do acting and get lost in a fantasy world and then back to the school on a Monday morning and be tearing my hair out yeah.
Yeah, I was.
They were sport lads.
But I got away with absolute blue murder, right, because I was funny.
And I used to do impressions of the teachers.
So because I did impressions of the teachers, I feel like I didn't get as bullied as maybe other people did.
You could tell there were other gay lads in the class.
And you could see them maybe get more bullied.
But I got away with the heavy bullying because I stand at the start of the class and I do impressions of the teachers.
You know?
And I got away with a lot from...
Yeah, you did have to be, yeah.
You know, people say, oh, God, she's been bullied in school.
It was really, back then, like, everybody kind of got bullied in school.
It's an awful thing to say, but you just were.
Anything you said differently, anything you did differently was huge, you know, in the early 2000s, late 90s.
It just was, you know.
Secondary school, yeah.
Kind of 30 and 40.
