There was a bit of lifting coast towards the end of the race.
But that's nothing compared to what's happening today.
He hasn't done that before.
As long as that's not artificial and it'll continue, it'll be fine.
But I think once everyone sorts out their energy usage of the battery, all that kind of stuff goes away and you'll have processional races.
There's a thing in IndyCar for a couple of years called the Hanford device.
Do you remember that thing?
Yes.
What was it on the rear wing?
It was on the rear wing that just created less drag for the car following.
That's right.
Much less drag to the point where even though you lost downforce, you could easily overtake.
And they would have on an oval 300, 400 overtakes.
But at the end, you never wanted to be leading because you wouldn't win because the guy behind you could overtake you so easily.
And they got rid of the Hanford device because it was artificial.
Lots of overtaking, just like you said, but it wasn't real.
Go watch a couple of IndyCar races with the Hanford device and that'll answer your question.
Really?
Yeah.
I remember watching it.
