You know, if you say I'm excited about SHOT Show, you sound like some kind of amateur.
Now, Chad and I actually had this discussion talking about, you know, between your first SHOT Show and how your enthusiasm starts dying down.
Right.
How you start worrying about either forgetting things or what you're missing.
And I totally get that.
That newness is worn off.
And...
You go through phases, at least I have, that like last shot show, I ended up on the last day trying to hit as many places as I can last year because I forgot something.
And now this time I was way more chill going into it.
I looked at things I found interesting and I let anything that pop up just pop up that was different.
I look at the whole thing as an adventure.
I don't think there can be a bad SHOT Show.
I think there can be somebody with a bad attitude going in the SHOT Show.
I think you could have effed up expectations going in the SHOT Show and not have them met.
But I somehow don't think you can get that many exhibitors together
And it not be exciting unless you're choosing not to be excited or you've done some corny-ass thing in your own mind to make it not interesting.
I think they priced themselves into a corner with as many shows as people can put on during the year.
Why would I dump a crap load of money into a huge booth at SHOT?
when I can do four or five shows during the year that are regional and I can reuse all the stuff.
Like I was talking to Ryan and just listen, if you're watching and you still stick it on because we're giving you behind the scenes, when you're looking at shot and you see anything hanging from the ceiling, that was $10,000 to hang that one thing from the ceiling.
