I mean, from the beginning.
It was way before music, way before anything else.

And it still is.
And so once I got into the kind of crevices of comics with Crumb and then pulling deeper into kind of more contemporary stuff at the time in the 90s when I was a kid, a lot of the stuff from Fanta Graphics, the publishing company that put out some Crumb stuff and they put out
um some dan clowes and and pete bagg with hate and um that stuff just started to open up a whole world to me and yeah i remember being on a family vacation in seattle i was uh 13 because it was just down the board you know on the other side of the border on near vancouver island uh going to seattle and like this is where fanagraphics

And I remember I went to a pay phone and I like found their phone number in the back of a comic and I tried to call them and get set up a, I wanted to see their warehouse or something.
I had no idea.
