So God Emperor Trump memes started spreading on 4chan back in 2015, right around the same time Trump announced his campaign.

On December 25th, 2015, a YouTuber named Talit uploaded a video that collected a bunch of early memes and titled it Donald Trump, Emperor of Mankind.

Talit was a very small time creator.

We're talking about a thousand subscribers.

But this particular video broke half a million views.

And part of it, like the imagery in the video is there's a famous piece of art from the lore of the game.

That's the emperor fighting his son who betrayed him over the body of one of his other sons that was murdered by the betrayers.

It's a very famous drawing.

And they just included that.
