what he looks like in the pocket this year, the sack avoidance to go from where he was last season to where he was this season, where you get sacked a dozen times over the course of the entire year is incredible progress.
You see some of the off-schedule playmaking stuff.
You drafted him number one overall because he was capable of making spectacular plays.
He was a rare talent.
The guys that just don't come along very often.
And now we're really starting to see that.
That fourth and eight play from last week, that's why you draft Caleb Williams number one overall.
So the crazy impressive stuff and the one-of-one type plays, that's part of it.
But you also see the in-structure development that we've started to see from him.
And it's not all the way there yet.
There are still elements to his game that need to be better.
I think that he can play a little bit faster.
He can get to stuff within the progression a little bit faster.
I think there are still some concerns when it comes to sprays accuracy-wise.
But if you look at the trend line from where he was at the end of last season to where he is now β
It is undeniably exciting.
They run the ball effectively, which I think the fact that they were able to do it last week without running the ball that effectively is a borderline miracle considering what this team has been like all year.
But the Rams, it's a good front, but there are certain situational things where you can run the ball on them.
And so if the Bears can get some heavy bodies out there and they can manage to do that, I think that's going to go a long way.
