I think the Rams did a fantastic job of this last year with Chris Shula.

If you look at situationally, the Rams aren't that team.

The Rams aren't a team that's playing –

98 nickel defense all the time they play a decent amount of base defense they play a decent amount of dime defense with 60 b's on the field but they're doing it situationally when they want to not when you're telling them to and so i think playing situationally and not responding to personnel as part of this the rams did a really good job of that last year the other guy that i think

has done a really good job of just saying, I'm going to play the way I want to.

We're going to be the ones that are dictating terms is what Jesse Minter did with the Chargers last year.

I think those are probably the three guys and the three teams that would jump out to me.

And I think that's why you're going to see more and more teams chasing some of the trends that you saw from Mike and Jesse specifically, just because they come from the same place.

And so that's an easy sell.

It's like, what are the Ravens guys doing?

Let's try to do a little bit more of that.

It was an interesting year last year.

Obviously, the Bears' defense down the ground really struggled.

I think part of that is just injuries on the back end.

That was supposed to be the strength of that team last year, is that they were supposed to be a really good secondary when that group was healthy.

And they were never really healthy in terms of having all five guys available.

And even when some of those guys were available, they didn't look right.

And so I think that if you were going to build the defense on that foundation, the foundation was never stable.

And I think they were struggling to find answers the entire year because of it.

But then you saw what Dennis Allen was capable of in the postseason specifically.
