Listen, it's a sore one, but I think it's nothing more than the foul that John Beaton's given.
He's on his running part and he's not lunged into the tackle or anything, but it's a crazy challenge to make.
It's not reckless.
Yeah, and at this moment in time, you know, Hearts are doing ever so well to invest all their players back to defend, but when they win it back, they then don't have that out ball, so you can't just slash it up the pitch and give the ball back to Rangers, which they've just done again.
But take it away for Keezy, they just won it, but they give it straight back and it goes out for a Rangers throw in.
Listen, I don't think anyone thinks Hearts have been a tremendous team to watch, but usually in these bigger games at time cash, they play with a lot of energy, they make teams defend.
Yeah, they've not done either so far in the opening 41 minutes.
you need to get yourself involved in the game and thus far they have not done so I think the only thing I would say though Gordon is for as much as Rangers have settled into the game and had complete control they're not creating anything where you feel as if when you've got this much control hearts are going to have a period in this game where they're going to put you under pressure so you really want to try and make this control count when it comes to chances and potentially try to get that second goal Another long throw from James Tavernier eventually goes all the way through to Steinvinder who just launches it up the pitch Rangers will collect again
Yeah, he has been.
He's not created any chances, he's not had any shots on goal.
I still think there's a couple of... Listen, the fact of the matter is he's probably not this winger, but I think there's a couple of occasions when you see he's 1v1 with Kingsley...
you think just drive at the full back come inside put a cross into the box go on the outside try and deliver but sometimes he does try and play their little combinations their little give and goes but he's certainly been involved in the game I think Diamande for me has made a difference to Rangers he's the one that seems to be building the play and connecting the game for Rangers he's gave it away in a couple of areas but I think he's been doing the right things trying to play forward trying to make an impact
Yeah and I think they thoroughly deserve it it's not been a classic I'm not saying for a minute the Rangers have been outstanding but they've definitely been the better side I think since that opening goal I thought they've showed plenty of control and I think they've been professional how they went about their business they're picking up first and second balls they're taking the tempo out of the game which probably doesn't suit Hearts and
I think the only slight disappointment they'll have with the amount of control and territory they had in the last 15-20 minutes they never translated into more chances of the game but there's no doubt whatsoever that at half time Mark that Rangers deserve their lead What did you make of it out there?
a bit of both they certainly have to show a lot more composure on the ball but we talked about them being outnumbered in the middle of the pitch and I think that's shown more with the first balls and the second balls when they're landing it's quite often the Rangers play that's landing on it I was just talking to Roger there that quite often in these type of games Derek McInnes then brings on a Blair Spittle in the wider area and asking him to tuck in is almost a
a third centre midfielder out of possession so it wouldn't surprise me if there's going to be a change in that area of the pitch I'm not sure if Chesnogov got booked for that tackle but I think if someone's going to be sacrificed pretty soon I'm expecting it to be him and it's whether he does go with a more pragmatic Blair Spittle or the man that Roger thought was a lucky not to start the game and Cargiota who's shown when he's came on he's got a lovely left foot and one thing's for sure he'll put balls into the box Well here come the teams Gabriel so just remind us of the starting elevens and up to speed if there are any changes
Yeah, like I said, not too surprised.
It's a change that Derek McInnes has made a lot this season.
They've felt they've not quite got control of the middle of the pitch and he doesn't want to sacrifice one of his strikers.
Quite often he'll play Blair Spittle as that kind of inside wide midfielder, shall we say, where he tries to tuck in and be an extra body in there.
