And when I had to provide a sample, it was black.
That's how much blood had got into my kidneys.
And then, yeah, so the sepsis then was in the blood and it latched on to the metal work in my back.
And the thing with metalwork is there's no antibodies.
So it couldn't fight the sepsis.
So the sepsis was the worst in my back.
And I ended up in Beaumont Hospital on the bank holiday Monday in August.
And they treated me straight away.
And I spent 11 days in there in severe agony.
And I had gone from being able to walk after my operation.
And like I say, I was going back to work.
I was doing lighthouse work.
housework.
And I couldn't walk.
I physically couldn't walk.
I couldn't lift my arms.
I couldn't dress myself.
I couldn't wash myself.
My husband had to come into the hospital to give me a shower.
I could do nothing for myself.
