So it's the early mid-90s, early mid-90s.
And so I thought, OK, well, people basically didn't even know what a drag queen was.
But I didn't know how to make a living any other way.
So I actually I went I went out every single night for a couple of weeks in drag.
And it's funny, isn't it?
Because I wouldn't run around town on my own in drag now because there's this kind of this pushback against all of this stuff.
But back then, everyone just saw you, you know, as a fun cartoon character.
You know, kind of pantomime.
So in general, it was just all very jovial.
So they weren't threatened by it in any shape or form?
And so anyway, so I ran around.
I went to like every single nightclub all the time for a couple of weeks until I found the one that I thought this place and the customers here would get me and would enjoy.
So and that was ironically in the Clarence Hotel.
because it had since been bought by you two while I was away and all that.
And they'd opened the kitchen nightclub.
And on Monday nights, there was a club night that then ran for many, many years called Strictly Handbag.
And it was kind of a mixture.
It was kind of a mixed crowd.
