I want a sense that he cares about the multilateral system, that he cares about the international order, that he's not just sort of making little comments about Carney.

I mean, what was the point of that?

What was the point of having a go at Carney?

I mean, really, he could have made the whole speech being polite to the US if that's what he wants to do.

being pro-Europe without having to distance himself.

That sort of actually sounded, I'm afraid, a bit chippy and insecure, as though he's a bit jealous of the fact that Carney's saying to him.

So where's the big story?

Where does he think we're going to be in five, ten years' time?
