It's crazy because it's like they're key players, right?

It's not just depth guys.

It's Victor Hedman, Ryan McDonough.

They were without Eric Chernak for a while on the blue line.

So the blue line has really taken a hit.

Then you talk about Braden Point, Vassie, all those guys.

I think the biggest thing with them is they've been able to call up guys from their AHL team and rely on them.

And they run a similar system.

Everything is kind of, it's copy and paste and there's really good communication.

So they've been able to just call these guys up and they've been waiting for their chance

to play up here.

So they're all competing for a spot and it's worked out really well.

They got a guy, Dominic James, who was a draft pick for the Blackhawks, a six-round guy, and he's having a great rookie year.

And then DeStew, who we talked about before this, he's an undrafted guy.

So the Lightning have always been really good at finding, they don't always go for the shiny object, right?

They're going for the guys.

They go over to Europe and scout over there and then it's worked out really well for them.

John Cooper has yet to win a Jack Adams trophy for coach of the year.
