Well, our story today begins on a hot summer morning in August of 1967.

We're in a quiet rural region of southern France, in a village named Cusac, a small and sparsely populated area where drinking wine and milking cows were really the most exciting activity on the to-do list.

On this day, two young children, Francois and his sister, Anne-Marie, were out watching over the family's cattle in an open field, surrounded by farmland and low hills, when all of a sudden, they noticed something strange in the distance.

Now, as a paranormal investigator, your instinct might be to look to the skies, but for now, our story takes place on the ground.

On the far side of the field, the children spotted a large spherical object that looked as if it had appeared out of nowhere.

I'm going to save us both a lot of time discussing the shape and properties of this object and tell you straight up right now that what we're dealing with

Well, it's not ghost related.

It's an orb.

It's orbical.

It's orbical.

Yeah, but... Shaped like an orb.

Okay, well, what about in the context of a rocket ship?

Well, yeah, it's made of metal.

Okay.

I haven't got to that point yet.

It was a giant metal orb.

I actually don't even know if it was metal.

We don't know what it's made of.
