She worked in the shop, in the steward's shop in the daytime.
And in the evening, Mary went to work at her second job, as a cook in a cafe in Castlebar.
Actually, she wasn't meant to be working that night.
It was her night off.
Another person had asked her would she work that night.
Sean Evans continued to drive around the west of Ireland before arriving into Castlebar.
It was around the time Mary would have been finishing work and she went to find a telephone kiosk.
Mary kept walking out then and she went to the kiosk and one of them was, the kiosk was broken and the other one, I think she got through then on the second one.
Mary was phoning her brother Michael Duffy for a lift.
My brother was working in a garage in Pellivary at the time but he had already gone to give somebody else a lift.
The road Mary was walking down was near the train station.
And that was where Shaw and Evans were driving.
And a warning.
The details of what happened next are upsetting.
And I looked and I seen a girl standing at a telephone box.
Unaware that she was being watched, Mary decided to start walking until her brother arrived.
So she decided it was a really quiet area and there was all houses each side and that's when she started walking out a short distance.
Shaw and Evans put their usual plan into action.
Jeff stopped the car and I got out and went over to the girl.
He told me to go over the bridge and wait for him.
