I like loved so much comedy.
I would go to the Comedy Gala, the Comedy Festival with my parents.
My dad would get like tickets through work and like I'd go and it was amazing.
Uh, and, but I never saw my, like, even though there was like a couple of women comedians, because it's such a minority, you don't think that you're that like exception.
You know, you don't think like if there's one comedian out of 20 on a lineup, you don't go like that, that woman is me.
I could be that woman.
And I think I meet guys who are like, I knew I wanted to be a comedian when I was seven.
And I was like, I knew I wanted to be a comedian, like after my 10th gig.
You know, like I didn't even know I wanted to be a comedian when I was doing comedy.
And so I think it didn't come to me like, like, this is my goal.
I want to do comedy.
It just kind of like fell into place, I think.
Yeah.
So I have like this scrapbook and I haven't even like actually sat down and glued a lot of these things in.
But it is such a nice look back because I have like my first like â
plane ticket to Wellington when I did my first gig in Wellington you know and that was just like it's like an hour flight but like I kept the ticket because I was like remember when you got to fly to Wellington to do a gig in front of 50 people that's incredible and so when I look back at that like scrapbook and like at that version of me that was so excited about this plane ticket that I thought I have to keep this then it kind of puts things into perspective when I go like
Oh, man, my crowd of like a thousand people, they're a little bit quieter than the previous night.
I guess I'm not that good.
I'm like, oh, no, like I should just be like really celebrating this because I think that version of myself would be like losing her mind knowing that it's going so well and trying to like â
