I've seen other guys play the tackle position for the Bears and not been as worried about them being able to protect the quarterback and run the football as I am about them stopping the run and getting to an opposing quarterback.
I was okay giving up valuable draft picks.
I guess I didn't think of it through a player perspective.
But that's what we have to do because it's one or the other.
That was your whole point before.
Because I was like, hey, Mark, if you really believe in Ryan Poles now, and more importantly, I guess, or just as importantly, Ben Johnson and his staff, why would you not say go ahead and use those picks to get the guys that you want to play that position and have them on the cheaper end and be able to see how good they can be with three picks in the first two rounds?
You're going to have a bevy of players to choose from to play, whether it's defensive edge or defensive tackle.
