You know I can't go D1 if I don't throw hard.
I can't get to minor leagues if I don't throw hard and spin the baseball.
I can't get to the big leagues if I don't throw the baseball hard and spin the baseball.
And so I think a lot of it is I know teams say, hey, we're trying to do everything we can to stop these β
I also think there's part of it that people look as occupational hazard at this point of as long as guys are throwing baseballs, you're going to have some of this.
And I just don't necessarily know.
how much you can diminish the damage that's being done.
It's not a good answer, and I wish there was something different, but you're not going to stop asking guys to throw hard.
But that's so unpredictable.
You don't know from game to game what's going to be a leverage inning and what's not.
You're not going to pull a guy out of an inning.
You know what I mean?
It is the big leagues, and you have to let guys have the opportunity to get themselves out of jams.
You're going to get in the jams as a pitcher.
You are.
And so anytime you get into trouble, you can't just say, well, warm somebody up, get them out of the ballgame like it.
It can't work like that.
But I think because of all these conversations we're having, I think these are.
It's a microcosm of where the industry is at in terms of trying to do and like if you can get one percent better and slowing some of these issues down like when.
Guys started getting Tommy John.
