on the defensive line.
It has been a forever problem for the Chicago Bears, and I could cite a couple examples of guys that were big-time defensive linemen that made huge differences.
Akeem Hicks once upon a time ago, especially with the 2018 Bears.
Tommy Harris back in the day.

This is a position that is hard to get right.
It is hard to find those guys.
And the Bears have been looking for this.

It's just such a valuable premium position.

But this is one of those cases, like, if you're not going to overpay for something, or if you are going to overpay for something, it's a position like that.
Because we're talking about needing that, like, how difficult is it for the Bears?
Well, I'll tell you.
Because Zach Pickens certainly didn't work out.
Jervon Dexter...
Has not shown to be a dynamic difference maker.
Like I keep saying, and I hate that I have to say this, but Justin Jones is probably still the Bears' best three technique on Ryan Poles' watch with the Chicago Bears.
And I realize that Lawrence can kind of play all over and nose tackle, but to have that guy, yeah, that's worth assets to get a guy like that.
