Let's talk about, for a bit, science fiction.
Let's talk about D&D and sci-fi for a bit, because I kind of feel like, and I wrote this article, short article on Enrod this week, but whether or not D&D-powered sci-fi was having a moment, because I suddenly realized that with Traveller 5e just having been launched on Backerkit and doing very, very well, it suddenly occurred to me that there's quite a few sort of 5e-powered space opera box sets that
Well, yeah.
Some of them predate ours and some of them come after.
So we're kind of in the middle of that pack.
It's interesting how the approach is very similar with all of them, though.
So I thought I'd have a quick look at sci-fi and D&D, starting with...
the origins of sci-fi and D&D because it's not a new thing, the D&D-based sci-fi stuff.
It's having a bit of a resurgence at the moment, I think.
It's having a bit of a moment at the moment, but it's not a brand new thing because back in 1980, there was Expedition to the Barrier Peaks by Gary Gygax.
Very famous adventure module.
And basically, it's set in a fantasy world.
You play fantasy adventure as normal.
But there's this crashed spaceship.
