Well, I think whiteness has expanded its affirmative action policies, if we're going to be honest, that you can now enter this space if you agree to a certain set of criteria.
And again, we've never seen that.
So they've invited their own DEI policies, so to speak, that you can come in and engage with us.
I want to be the difference of someone who's white and someone who's embracing whiteness, racialized whiteness.
OK, please break down each of those definitions.
Please, please.
One is this.
Does someone who's physically described as white, does it mean they endorse white supremacist ideas?
In fact, most people, the majority of people do not.
If you're embracing whiteness in the sense of embracing white supremacy, you are then endorsing a hierarchy of racial discrimination.
Now, that's a fundamental difference, right?
If you embrace just whiteness and you admit you're, we come from an Irish or Italian background or whatever, however we describe whiteness, it doesn't mean that you're endorsing these ideas.
So we gotta be very clear on that.
If you're embracing white supremacy and you're playing footsie with these ideas, that's different.
And I think what's happening is these spaces are tapping in to the alienation of men of color.
It was a lot of excitement.
among Harris rallying from members of the Divine Nine.
And there was not a lot of excitement for those below the poverty line.
That's different.
