I'd like to say thank you to all involved.
Families who have put their trust in me to tell this story and listeners who support my work week in and week out.
And finally, a huge thank you to Rich Peel and his family from Anytime Fitness Australia, whose sponsorship of this season was unwavering and crucial.
We're talking about a young girl, a 16-year-old girl who's just disappeared.
She's supposed to be in Brisbane with family and she just wasn't there.
From Brevity Studios, I'm Ryan Wolfe and this is Guilt.
I'm currently on day two of my fourth trip to the Sunshine Coast working on this season of the podcast.
And there's one lead that I've been wanting to follow further, desperate to corroborate.
And that's Frank Jenkins' story about what he claims Laurie Poole told him about the screaming girl in the car on Urbac Road, right around the corner from where Derek Sam claimed to have dropped Jessica off that night.
It's always been a story with huge potential, and Frank seems very genuine about what he recalls, but finding someone to corroborate it has been tough.
One obvious option was to find Laurie's surviving family.
According to Frank, Laurie was very shaken up by what he'd seen, so we'd expect that if he told Frank, who was simply there to deliver a roller door, then surely he would have told someone else.
I'm currently on the road on the Sunshine Coast and have an address for a man we believe to be his son.
So I'm going to stop by and see if we might get lucky.
Okay, I've just pulled up outside the address of one of Laurie's children, I hope.
