In the first day that Rode launched in Australia, they made $11.5 million.
Just a drop in the bucket, really.
Oh, my God.
I don't get out of bed for less, you know.
But it made me start thinking, is the celebrity beauty brand back or is it in its flop era?
So I started looking at like a bunch of other celebrity beauty brands.
And when you think of celebrity beauty brands, which do you think of?
Fenty.
Which do you think is the most successful celebrity beauty brand?
road no it's actually Fenty which I was like I love hearing that yeah Rihanna's Fenty Beauty is the highest grossing celebrity beauty brand to date and it's valued at nearly three billion dollars which also up there is not to start the fucking feud again but Selena Gomez and Rare Beauty is
which has also had valuations of $2.7 billion.
I want to preface that those are like estimations because the internet is the internet.
But also the most Googled celebrity brands worldwide in the third quarter of 2025 was Rare Beauty, but with Rare Beauty was number one, Fenty Beauty was number two, and Kylie Cosmetics was number three.
Wow, Kylie.
Which I was really surprised with because I would have thought road would be up there, but I do think it is getting there.
Probably.
Yeah.
But it's interesting because there was research also to show that 54% of consumers purchased a beauty product from an influencer or celebrity brand in 2023.
So it does kind of pose the question of like,
Is there a place for celebrity brands?
