You can program it with a computer, although I found there are certain things you cannot program with a computer.
There is a firmware update out there because the FCC has decided to make it where these radios can't be imported if they're allowed to transmit in a certain frequency band in between the two that they say it's okay to.
So that you have to jump a canyon basically of things you can't transmit or receive on.
