And I've always been such a stickler for other people's lines.
Even without knowing it, I wince a little bit when someone gets the wrong word.
And it's pathetic.
It's like I'm keeping score in my head.
Didn't get that down.
But the thing is, I learn other people's lines.
It's very bad.
Yeah.
But again, I think that stems down to being a people pleaser and again, going through drama school and kind of coming into this industry
as a theater actor and you learn that the script is like the bible you know it's it's it's gospel so you don't change a word you're not allowed to change a word and i think that sort of stuck with me even even in tv and film you see other actors going my character wouldn't say that and then for me i was always like well your character does say that so you have to find out why your character says that yeah yeah that was the that was the journey
I want to hear about it.
Yeah, they're not used to you acting in that way, having a voice.
Yeah.
And again, I think that was one of the reasons I got into acting is that I got so used to people pleasing my parents, you know, even to a point that I think I was like, oh, this is this is easy.
I can shapeshift whoever you want me to be today and tomorrow.
I can be that person.
But then you do lose a sense of identity.
And then there's a part of you, which is what I've learned, is that you hold some sort of resentment for the fact that people are changing you.
But again, I've lost sight of who I was.
I lost sight of who I was to such a degree that...
