And somehow this administration is actually doing all of that stuff simultaneously.
I mean, signing deals with the Australians, opening mines in Alaska, pushing the Chinese.
It will be an ongoing process for some time because that's a big hammer that the Chinese have.
On the other hand, they know if they drop it completely and finally,
then any chance they hope to have of preserving an economic relationship with the U.S.
at least is over.
I mean, that's pretty damn close to a declaration of war.
And I don't mean that quite as dramatic as that sounds, but you can't do that and hold that line and not basically rupture the whole world economy.
I mean, nothing will be the same after that.

Look, I get it that the president is trying to manage a complex situation.
He's trying to get the Chinese to agree to all sorts of different considerations.
And there's a certain give and take.
I don't think this is an issue.
on which we can accept this position.
There are, like you said, I think I have the same number.
There's something slightly less than 300,000 Chinese students in the United States already.
That's too many.
The idea that we're gonna double them, very ill-advised.
