It should happen much more publicly, and I'm hoping to put my shoulder to the wheel on that front.
for being someone who's just pragmatic and not crazy in the Democratic Party.
And that has been all too rare in recent years.

How did you get into politics and how did you decide to be mayor of San Jose?
You're in your second term as mayor?
87%, that sounds like a lot.
I know.
That's like Vladimir Putin numbers.
Yeah.
How common is that for a mayor to be reelected with 87% of the vote?
I don't know.
I think it's pretty rare.
Yeah.
