You basically don't need your people and you don't have to be responsible to their interest because you're pulling your wealth directly out of the ground.

And even in success, you wind up with authoritarian, you know, to one or another degree, places you wouldn't want to live.

I mean, again, even in the case of Saudi Arabia, you're talking about a, what has been, I mean, it's opening up a little now, but it's been a highly repressive society and it can be that way because it doesn't have to respond to.
