But, you know, he is... When you talk to him, he is in such a better headspace than where he was a year ago.
And I talked to him at the ballpark yesterday, too.
Because he's talked all year about just, you know, not getting too high or too low.
that has to apply now then too and he said absolutely like nothing he's like i i could have three punch outs tomorrow and suddenly it feels like i can't hit again and so like i can't act like i figured anything out now but we're and this is something else i'd ask him about i i think where it's helped him most is like he's come up with some pressure situations and come through
And I think when you get in a better head space and you aren't as worried about the effect of, like he said, having three punch outs or something, it really minimizes the importance of one at bat, even when that one at bat or plate appearance is super important.
He's come up with ninth inning hits, and I think that as much as anything, I think you could point to the whole body of work, sure, the fact that he's hitting better.
But I think when you point to what he's done in pressure situations, that's where it really shines.
Do you think he looks more confident at the plate?
More frequently he looks confident at the plate.
I do think there's still some plate appearances.
But I just think that part of it is fewer and farther between than it was.
I mean, especially last year it was like every time the guy went up to the plate.
I mean, it got to a point I thought late in last year he almost felt bad for him.
Like he just โ because you know it's in there.
