I've told him before that I don't. And that was probably a mistake. Like I'm so independent. I'm totally fine. And I probably shouldn't have said that because it comes off very harsh, but that's my directness.

The reason that I've kind of created that, like, I don't need him in me is because he prioritizes himself and his happiness a lot, which I think some people should add to a certain extent, but like, if the surf is good, he's going surfing no matter what. He makes time to go to a coffee shop and read. He makes time to go for a walk on the beach. Like he makes his time to do his things regardless.
