What happened?

And my brother was short-tempered with me and said, oh, of course it was his sister.

I overheard them talking about their mother.

Yeah, and I didn't want to push him.

I mean, the whole relationship, it was a pattern of my behaviour in the relationship to be understanding and gentle, really suppressing my own personality.

Well, I am an understanding and gentle person, but I really were, you know, many occasions when I should have had every reason to be furious, I stifled that instinct of anger, which is what women in the world overdo, isn't it?

And it's a lesson for me and I think for possibly other people as well.

But I didn't push him to the wedding.

I just said, you know, I'd love you to come with me.

And again, it seemed like a real milestone in a relationship to take your boyfriend to a friend's wedding.

And eventually he said, yes, okay, I'm coming.

I can come.

And he sat next to me on the couch.

I said, do you want me to book the flight?

We were at my place this night when he said he would come.

And I said, do you want me to book the flight for you?

Oh, no, I'll do it, he said, and pulled out his mobile phone.
