So we built the nonprofit out and I also built a business out that we ran for 10 years.
We helped teachers transform their schools.
It was a face-to-face education company.
During the COVID pandemic, we actually built a technology idea to survive as a business, which essentially became Netflix for teacher training.
We sold that to a business in Australia called Go One, a technology unicorn from Brisbane.
So at the end of that decade, YGAP was thriving and I had a lightness about me of I can forgive myself now.
We had a level of wealth that came from selling a business that was crazy for me to get my head around because I didn't grow up with that.
My family didn't have that kind of money.
And then I actually was thinking what's next and I went and did an ayahuasca ceremony and
which is a very potent psychedelic plant-based medicine.
And I went into that with the intention of, I'm gonna take this psychedelic and reflect on the last big 20 years and think of what's next for Aaron Tate.
And I had my ass kicked.
And I left that experience, like it's one of those profound experiences of my life.
And I left that thinking, number one, I'm a dad and a husband.
And number two, I wanna be a writer.
So that's what I do now.
I'm a father and a husband and I write.
We have no guns in the house, no GI Joes.
